Why?

I am not dieting for one whole year. On March 1, 2008 my social experiment began. This blog chronicles my experiences of not dieting. More importantly, it provides support to those who seek more information on not dieting.

Look At My Wedding Dress

Okay, so after looking at all the great comments on my last post I felt a lot better. I settled on the dress above from JCrew. Clearly, I am not as thin as the model wearing the dress and I am okay with that. I like that it is relaxed and not so tight that I can't eat dinner.

I ordered it online and will receive it next week. Hopefully, it will fit. I've ordered other dresses from them in the same size and they have been fine. I want to funk it up a little bit with some chunky turquoise jewelry and shoes. Thanks again for all your support!

I didn't see the initial post, but I just wanted to say: Great choice! This is a beautiful dress (I especially love the back view; it has such a clean, retro look). Congratulations!

Wow that's a cute dress! If it were a wee bit longer, I might actually want one for myself. If you're comfortable using for something other than "the big day" it'll be a great wardrobe staple too.

I love your dress. It's modern yet classic. I wanted to go with a shorter dress, but I have a hard time finding dressy shoes so I know I wouldn't be happy having to show them :)

I am really encouraged by you. I am getting married in a year and there is a lot of social pressure to lose as much weight as possible before the wedding. It's like *expected* of me to be dieting and exercising my brains out to fit into the smallest dress size I can when I get married.

Seeing another bride-to-be out there not dieting really helps me... thank you so much for your blog!

I have noticed lately that i FEEL so sluggish from inactivity, so I recently started exercising again.. but for once it feels like it's for how I feel and not how I look. All I care about for my wedding day is FEELING good about myself... and whatever weight I may be, so what?!

the dress is gorgeous! And the model is way too thin -her forearms and thighs appear to be the same circumference! Anyway,I really adore your dress - you'll be beautiful!

I love the dress & I agree - I think turquoise accessories will be a fantastic "something blue" that you can add - really make it pop! Congratulations!
