Why?

I am not dieting for one whole year. On March 1, 2008 my social experiment began. This blog chronicles my experiences of not dieting. More importantly, it provides support to those who seek more information on not dieting.

Get Your Style On at DealLocker

I've been browsing the internet looking for clothes and came across this site that has coupons for bajillions of stores. Usually I buy my clothes from the same few brands and find buying online a lot easier. Anyway, DealLocker has tons of coupon codes for free shipping and other discounts. Remember, don't wait until you lose 5 lbs. before you buy something that fits today.

By the way, do you think Spanx hinder or help body image?

I guess in an ideal world we wouldn't care for Spanx, but... if wearing something like this means you'll wear an outfit you wouldn't normally, or that you'll feel a little more comfortable in certain types of clothes... I don't think there's too much harm. We shouldn't expect ourselves to be perfect. Eg. I hate that there's a double standard re. the sexes and grooming, but at the end of the day... I shave my legs. ;-)

Spanx is just a girdle for the modern woman. Call it something cute, put it in a pretty package and pretend it isn't still about selling women on the fact that their bodies aren't "acceptable."
